Rabbi Michael C. Simon

Rabbi Michael Simon, now in his twentieth year as the spiritual leader of Temple Beth Kodesh, brings joy and enthusiasm to our pulpit through his meaningful and topical sermons, innovative and interesting services, programs, classes and lectures.

A native of Brooklyn, NY, Rabbi Simon is a graduate of the Yeshivah of Flatbush and obtained rabbinic ordination/semicha from the Mesifta Adas Wolkowisk. He received a BA in Political Science from Pace University, a JD from Fordham University School of Law, and an MA in Jewish Studies from Gratz College.  Rabbi Simon was also awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree in recognition of his years of service to the Jewish community.

Rabbi Simon practiced law for twenty years before turning to the rabbinate full-time. In addition to his rabbinic duties Rabbi Simon also serves or has served as an Adjunct Professor of Rabbinics at Gratz College, an Adjunct Instructor in Jewish History at Florida Atlantic University and as a faculty member of the Florence Melton Adult Mini-School.  He is a frequent and popular lecturer on topics of Jewish interest for many Jewish communal and civic organizations as well as a contributor of opinion pieces to various media.

Rabbi Simon is married to Andrea, a CPA and is the father of Samantha (Nir) and Jason (Allie) and the proud grandfather of Guy and Mia.
